For the autumn/winter season of our award-winning Radio.com Style Files series, we invited the ladies of one of our favorite indie-pop bands to stand in as our models. Au Revoir Simone, who were on a break from touring in support of their new album Move In Spectrums, stopped by the Radio.com studios and let us work some beauty magic on them. The results were all tour-friendly looks for the already fashionable musicians.
Wine-Stained Lips
The ’90s are back in a big way, so make-up artist Joanna Lily Wong showed Erika Forster how to do that brick color you remember Drew Barrymore and Jennie Garth rocking back in the day — but with a modern twist. Fall 2013 fashion shows went wild with textured lips, so we tapped into how to make that work. Joanna’s secret trick with powder and a Kleenex buffer helped Erika achieve a textured, matte look without any dryness — and it’ll last all show.
