These are more photos from the ELLE magazine 19th Annual Women In Hollywood Celebration held at the Four Seasons Hotel in Beverly Hills last night. This is hopefully the last fashion post from this event – go here and here to see the dresses I’ve already discussed. You should also check out those posts because you need to get a sense of what the average “Elle Mag event dress” looked like – most women were wearing Calvin Klein, because CK was one of the sponsors. Most chose cocktail-business attire, some sparkle here and there, but mostly pretty, classy, somewhat modest dresses. And then there was Lea Michele and her butt cheeks. Lea wore this Zimmerman dress which… if it had been fully lined, MAYBE she could have pulled it off. But it seems particularly trashy and famewhore-y to wear a sheer dress, with your butt cheeks hanging out, to an event about empowered women in Hollywood. Plus: her bangs disgust me. They are beyond awful. Sarah Jessica Parker in Calvin Klein. This is a pretty good look for her – SJP’s style has been pissing me off lately (she goes too young or too dowdy, like she can’t find a happy-medium to save her life), and I think she looks sophisticated and lovely. I’m actually pretty envious of her arms too. Jennie Garth in Tadashi Shoji. A perfect dress for a bridesmaid, or even a bride (for a second wedding). Not so good for a Hollywood event. She looks like a musty doily. Nina Dobrev in Vera Wang. To me, Nina has Selena Gomez-Face, meaning that she always looks like a 12-year-old playing dress-up. Which means that I think this dress looks “too adult” on her, but I would dislike it even on a more mature-looking woman. It’s just a bad dress. It looks cheap. Lake Bell in Etro. Awful. I don’t really have anything else to say. It’s just terrible. Photos courtesy of WENN.
