Yes you read that right folks. Metta World Peace has landed his first starring roll. He has been cast to play a detective in a movie based on Nancy Grace's novel "The Eleventh Hour".

The detective he will play is from Georgia. He works with Atlanta' District Attorney (Jennie Garth) in pursuit of a serial killer. Jennie Garth is most known for her role on the 90's series 90210.

Nancy Grace told TV Guide that Metta was her first choice for the role,

The Garlan character "is very dear to my heart," says Grace, who authored The New York Times best-selling novel based on her real-life experiences and serves as one of the film's executive producers. "I wanted to cast someone for whom I have a true fondness. Metta World Peace was my first pick."

The film will be shot this off season and will air exclusively on the Lifetime channel.
